About Our School
Legato Dance is based in the heart of Tooting, South London. Our ballet classes are for everyone – of all ages and abilities, from toddler first steps to adult intermediate level.
We hold classes at St Nicholas Church and Sellincourt School, just off Tooting’s bustling high street and a short walk from both Tooting mainline train station and Tooting Broadway underground station. Classes take place on weekday evenings at on Saturday mornings.
Our teachers are trained professionals and performers. We teach in the Royal Academy of Dance Method but are also influenced and inspired by a range of dance education backgrounds.
About Our Staff
Miss Nina
Nina started dancing at the age of two at the Lisayne Ballet School in Birmingham. She was a Junior Associate of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and danced with Midland Theatre Ballet. She played in youth orchestras across Birmingham, including for the Elmhurst Ballet School graduate showcase in 2013. She has completed the Royal Academy of Dance grades from Pre-Primary to Advanced Two.
Nina has a degree in Music with Philosophy, studying cello, and a postgraduate in Arts in Education (Dance Teaching) from the Royal Academy of Dance. Nina has been teaching in a variety of capacities for ten years and she is a Registered Teacher with the RAD.
Alongside being a teacher, Nina is a digital content producer for the Royal Ballet and Opera and works to improve access to ballet and music via digital platforms.
Miss Amelia
Amelia is an Australian actor based in London with a background in classical ballet, contemporary dance, classical piano and singing.
Amelia recently received an Off West End Award Nomination for best supporting performance for her London stage debut in ‘A Brief List of Everyone Who Died’ at the Finborough Theatre.

Amelia is also a Burlesque artist, and theatre producer in the field of New Writing. Amelia has produced in Sydney, Edinburgh, London and New York City. Two plays that Amelia has produced in London have been published by Methuen Drama (Arcola Theatre and Finborough Theatre) and are available for purchase from the National Theatre Bookshop in London.
